I finally found a DVD of Kaakha Kaakha in one store in Jackson Hights, Queens, New York, since I couldn't find it at all from any respectable Indian online DVD stores. I hope we will see all new YRF's DVDs done at Prasad to be 24fps too! The video has little grain probably because of all the audio tracks(DD 5.1, DTS, directors commentary), heavyily animated menus, etc took up quite a disk space and probably require heavy compression on video. I ended up reading subtitles most of the time but I enjoyed it. I happened to see Kaaka Kaaka yesterday and it was an excellent movie. I think Mantra in HYD may be able to get this one if they upgrade their MPEG-2 encoder or they may even have it already.
KAKKA KAKKA MOVIE WITH ENGLISH SUBTITLES HOW TO
I saw and it already but need to figure how to check if it's 24fps with my new DVD Player. I can confirm about it once I test the check disk I got from them. They already did one old movie for iDream. From what I understood from them, that's how they will do all others from now on(maybe at little extra cost). That made them bring us Kaaka Kaaka as their first 24fps encoded DVD. They used their regulat NTSC Telecine but got a new MPEQ-2 encoder which can do 24fps conversion(3:2 pull-down I guess). I think Prasad got it right due to pressure from Ayangran for 24fps. Initially, both of them mistook me for asking for progressive video like in HDTV format. That can happen only if Mantra or Prasad labs have the right equipment in India as financially, it's impossible to get authoring done here in US. Like u and many others here I was also obssessed about seeing Progressive 24fps DVDs among South India DVds. I dont have to know audit, but how about KITS?
